Germany’s New Autonomous driving laws may be copied for the whole EU.


UK & Northern Ireland

The UK Department for Transport said Autonomous Vehicles will be allowed on UK roads this year.


Northern Ireland has been kept informed of the changes and the DOT will continue to engage with them on the use of autonomous vehicles on NI roads.

The Irish Government

Has just carried out its first public consultation on Autonomous and Connected Mobility Vehicles in Ireland.

Google’s Air pollution and Street View I-pace electric car is currently mapping Dublin’s streets for future Waymo Robotaxi deployment when the new UN-ECE regulations come into force in the EU.

It is expected the new regulations will allow RoboTaxi’s to use the existing bus lanes at speeds up to 60kph.
